WordPress, why it is my favourite cms / blog

wordpress-love-600x300First of all I’m not an affiliate of WP and WordPress doesn’t pay me for writing about their “open-source software”. This article is my opinion on why everyone should use this CMS.

WordPress started in 2003 with a single bit of code to enhance the typography of everyday writing and with fewer users than you can count on your fingers and toes. Since then it has grown to be the largest self-hosted blogging tool in the world, used on millions of sites and seen by tens of millions of people every day. source > WordPress

As easy like pie

I don’t know how to bake a pie, but this is the expression when you are talking about something that is easy to do. Specially for the end users, these are mostly the business owners who are so caught up into their core occupation and most of them don’t have the time to learn a CMS software that has a high learning curve.

There is a plugin for that…

Plugins can extend WordPress to do almost anything you can imagine. In the directory you can find, download, rate, and comment on all the best plugins the WordPress community has to offer. source > WordPress

With the wide range of plugins in the directory  on WordPress, you don’t even need a developer to fine tune your online needs. You can find a lot to your liking. It has detailed explaination on how to install and use. You can see if the plugin has recently been updated, this is important, because the plugin should be aligned with the WordPress core system.

Title, text(content), add image and publish

Either you use pages or posts to put content on you website. Both of them are easy to add, edit or delete when no longer needed. Adding an image has never been this easy, You just drag and drop the (multiple) images you need and WordPress will do it’s magic.
